Always be proud what you are.........

There is always a question...is the world is changing? or it is only yourself?

As the spring in coming closure, I want to get into some outside activity. As all apartment complex have a tennis court in US, so it is more affordable to play.I wanted to play something else b'coz last summer I broke my wrist in the game. I wanted to play Shuttlecock and didn't find a good court in GSO. This week my friend found a new place and we want to try it out.
As I was driving to the place, I was imagining the new place would be deserted and only my friend and myself will be alone playing there. But surprisingly that place crowded by Asian community and half of them were Indians. I got a little bad feeling for not utilizing the shuttlecock court for this long only because lack of information. I remembered the comedian Senthil's quote "Information is knowledge" from Boys movie.

I am learning some basic's for TCP/IP . It is really amazing to know what is happening behind the screen. I bought a book "Learning Python", hope i will get some good scripting skills, let see how well I am motivated to read the book.

I read a story about Writer Sujatha at Thinnai.com. It is really cool. Check it out

A Hunt for a Instant Messaging Client

There is lot going on this topic.
The best one I known is "Yahoo Messenger" until I bought my mac.
Mac Os X comes with "ICHAT". Ichat is an wonderful client for networks like JABBER & BONJOUR.
But sometime is pain in the back with Windows system. When you invite for audio or video chat, you will never get any response.
If you digg into the apple forums, there are lot of information about how does QuickTime player affects the I chat and How to open the ports all those stuffs. After all my readings and research, Mac to Mac ICHAT is the best.

I installed Yahoo Messenger in Mac, But there is no Voice chat capability? only I can Video chat. That is no fun. You can't IM your expressions. So I got to get something great and good which can do Video and voice and has to be compatible to Mac Os X & Windows. Thats is the point I started this Hunting. But still searching.

The Next one is GOOGLE Talk. What in the world with google? Google talk only supports IM and Voice chat, but it does not support Voice chat for Mac OS X.

Again I left out with the option Quit Mac Os X and start using Windows.
Windows I wouldn't say is the best Os in my point of view. Boring OS. nothing interesting or nothing new there. They are just grinding the same stuff again and again with different versions. If I put it in my mechanical point of view Windows is riding in a American made sedan car, Mac is like riding in a sports car.

Finally I decided to quit Mac OS X but in the other hand I don't want to use Windows. So my next option is LINUX. I installed FEDORA LINUX in my pentium3 Laptop. Amazingly it is a mixture of other two OS. I love working with FEDORA.

The simple example I would say configuring my router and networking. As simple as it is and the GUI is great. In the other hand i got two unix terminals on network. The first thing I tried is "ssh" commond, Worked really great. So I am enhancing my UNIX capabilities now.

Pidgin is one of the IM client comes with FEDORA OS. You can configure YM,AIM, ICQ, IChat.....everything with Pidgin. But same problem does not support the Voice and Video chat. So my hunt is still on.......

1000 Places to See......India

In discovery HD, there is program 1000 Places to see before you Die. I watched the India Episode. In the program a young married couple(Chris and Malin) travels all the place and they express the beauty and uniqueness of the place.

In this episode they travel to New Delhi, Capitol of India. They started their Journey in auto-rickshaw (a three wheel automobile)
Chris asks "why people are using Horns", the guide says to drive in India, three things are necessary "Good Horn, Good Brake and Good Luck".

The guide take them to "Chandini-Chowk" a shopping area. Malin the girl go out with a shorts and a T-shirt. After a while she realizes people are starring at her. Then she learns people in India specifically females don't show their bare leg. I don't know why but that is the true. But the guide with her was very smart, she took her to the near by shop and buy her a "Sudithar" a typical Indian outfit for girls. Chris feels happy because the Malin outfit cost him only $10. They keep walking into the street, Chris ask to the guide "what's up with this wires crossing above their head". It is nothing but power line with 240 Volts. it was the funniest moment, as soon as he knows all of them is electric power lines he goes "Its crazy, I don't believe it and he runs away from that place".

In the rest of the episode they go to "Taj Mahal" and all other places in Delhi. Episode finishes with "India is organized chaos but life moves on fast here".

Dont ask questions if u r not prepared for the answer !!!

Why Lawyers should never ask a witness a question if they aren't prepared
for the answer..... (But this story applicable to all)

In a trial, a small town prosecuting attorney called his first witness to
the stand. The witness was grand motherly, elderly woman.
He approached her and asked, "Mrs.Jones, do you know me?" She responded,
"Why, yes I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a young
boy and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat
on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk
about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't
the brains to realize you never will amount to anything more than a two-bit
paper pusher. Yes, I know you"

The Lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the
room and asked, "Mrs. Jones. Do you know the defence attorney?" She again
replied, "Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster,
too. He's lazy, bigoted and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a
normal relationship with anyone and his law practice is one of the worst in
the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different
women, one of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."

The defense attorney almost died.
The judge asked both counsellors to approach the bench, and in a very Quiet
voice, said, "If either of you bastards asks her if she knows me, I'll throw
you in jail for contempt

My State in India....Tamil Nadu

It is a beautiful state in southern tip of India. I born in the city called "Madurai". it is very religious and very orthodox city with lot of Hindu temples.

It is one of the colorful state in India. The first thing comes into my mind is girls with dark color long hair with a jasmine flower in it and most of them.....nope...all of them are skinny and beautiful.

The second thing is food. I can't explain the taste of the food here, but I can tell you those are the most tastiest food. My city is famous for a food item called "Parrotta". You don't need to go to a five star restaurant to taste this, you can get in a ordinary restaurant and taste depends on the chef's special ingredient .(Check out the picture)

Recently I happened to see "Cotton candy" ice cream flavor in Cold stone. That inspired me to post this picture here.

Hindu religion is such a way that, every month some festival comes up. So all the temples are always decorated and busy.

The picture your seeing here is not like wal-mart, it is a street-mart, there is no lowest price here, you can always bargain and get a good deal. If you think sometimes bargaining makes you feel better and gives you more shopping satisfaction.

Deadliest Job in the World

Crab Fishing in the Winter in Alaskan sea.
The main catch here is as usual money

Approximately 90-cents/pounds of crab, a crew man can earn $50,000 in 2 months period. But it is very dangerous and very physical work.
Fill the crab pot with bait and put into the sea for 20 hrs come back and grab it. What a crappy job....huh....
The safety rules are very simple. Don't get got into the pot hook ropes. If you get into it, if someone noticed you, you are safe otherwise, it is very hard to get your body.
Crew man has to work all day and night in snow and cold and in high wind speed. They will be tired very soon and no time to concentrate on safety later the day.

A good season is -------no one injured
A great season is-------no one injured+good money

I wouldn't mind to spend my vacation as green horn in the deck. (FYI. I don't eat this crab)

Not a Typical weekend......

"I'm like everyone else-I see the world in terms of what I would like to see happen, not what actually does"
-Paulo Coelho

Last Saturday (First half) was pretty good. I had prep classes in WFU. Three hours brain storming. I had lot of fun. Certainly I learned a bit how to solve a problem in Tech' school method and in B' school method. Solving the problem is not a big deal. only the timing matters. That late saturday, I understood, the meaning of real bad day.

Sunday, I went to Spider-man 3. A lengthy movie with lot of sentiments. I watch these kind of movies for graphics. I always wonder, how did they even imagine every shot......and made it real with graphics........amazing........

I don't want to be a spider man......at least I wish I could have a girl friend like MJ........Juz kidding......

Life Passions?????

I was reading an article headed "Live Your Life with Passion".
Is that a human thing? I never seen anyone living with their passion? Can I get that thing from Wal-mart?
Do I really have any life passions? or Am I living in Buddha's principle?
I am really confused.....Life sucks!

It's my life.....Now or Never

First time I'm following American Idol season. This week a tribute to Bon Jovi. Personally I love Bon Jovi songs and From this season I like Blake B'coz he don't just only sing, he remix the song and put his on own way. So Blake Vs Bon Jovi I was really excited. The really good part is Blake comment about his performance "Take risk or keep your mouth shut". He took risk and he did pretty good.

It's been a long time, I watched TV shows like this. Long back I used to watch "sitthi" a Tamil TV drama. I never had any choice at that time. AXN "Amazing Videos and "Sitthi" comes on a same time. But that time not only remote wasn't in my control. So I started watching it and I wouldn't say I didn't like it.

The one more good contestant is Jordon. She is only 17 and doing well. She is really using her opportunity.
What I was doing in my 17? Did I had any chance? I'm not only talking about singing..........Am I still missing my fortune opportunities? Don't know....But "Life is really too short to suck".

Traffic Ticket

I went to Time Square, for 2007 New year eve. Totally I drove 1874 miles in 3 days. From Greensboro, I drove to Ohio, picked up a friend at Akron, Ohio and we drove to New york. Everything was exiting, except I got a speeding ticket at Maritta, Ohio. It was a beautiful drive form Greensboro, Virginia and in West Virginia. Even the speed limit was 70miles/hr, I was driving around 77 miles/hr. As soon as I hit into Ohio, the speed limit become 55miles/hr. So What I did, I was driving 55 constantly and whenever I don't see any traffic (through my windshield and through my review mirror) I was raising my car to 90( I rented a SUV). It was dark and in that Ohio suburb I didn't see no one in the road, So I was constantly driving around 85 miles/hr. There were two Caravan in front of me. I should have slowed down, but I thought to overtake them and slow down. As soon as passed the vehicles, I realized that is a cop car. I have been pulled over. I got a ticket 88 miles/hr @ 55miles speed limit, $140 fine.

This is what I learned from my first traffic ticket experience.
Talk very polite to a cop.
Don't be scared to talk to cop. After you have been pulled over by a cop, your first question would be "what speed you were driving. Don't admit, even though you drove fast. Say the exact speed limit in that place. Then Cop would say his radar reading of your speed limit. If you have rented a car, dare to say, you are speed-o-meter was showing only the speed of maximum speed limit at the place.
If you would say, you didn't see any speed limit posting for lost 10 miles, Cop would explain you, where and all the speed limit posted. B'coz he knows the area better than you. So don't say that.
Try your best not to admit the over speeding and act very innocent as much you can. (If you are pulled over, 90% you are getting a ticket, only 10% chances are there to escape)

If you got the ticket, and you can think of taking the chance to appear into the court, that is the best way to do, to escape from your insurance premium rise. ( I don't have any experience, may be I will write a blog about that, later some time)

But, be proud to have a ticket.
